About LlamaIndex
LlamaIndex is a framework for loading documents, chunking and indexing them, and retrieving the right pieces to answer a question. It has hundreds of data connectors, agent and workflow abstractions, and a hosted service for parsing messy PDFs.

The document connectors are the real value. Someone has already written the loader for your weird data source. The tiny part of my brain that likes tidy systems is happy.

V0.14.24 in august. The api has settled down a lot compared to a year ago.

The useful data point: It can feel like a lot of abstraction over what is ultimately chunk, embed, retrieve. Worth understanding the basics first.
