About Matomo
Matomo is a full analytics platform covering reports, funnels, heatmaps, session recordings and A/B tests. Unlike the hosted giants it can run on your own servers, so the raw data never leaves your control, and it can be configured to work without consent banners.

6.0.0 is in beta now which is the first major version in a long while. That has saved me a few silly afternoons.

The part people skip: The admin ui shows its age but the data ownership story is unmatched.

It does heatmaps, recordings and funnels too. Much bigger scope than the simple privacy analytics tools.
