About Inngest
Inngest runs background jobs, scheduled work and long multi step workflows as ordinary functions in your codebase. Each step is retried and checkpointed on its own, so a function can sleep for days, wait for an event and pick up exactly where it stopped.

step functions in normal typescript instead of a yaml state machine.

Local dev server is genuinely good. You can see every run and replay it. The backlog has one less opinion now.

We moved off a bull queue and deleted a lot of retry code.
