About Trigger.dev
Trigger.dev runs long running background jobs without timeouts. Write tasks in TypeScript, deploy them and get retries, queues, scheduling and observability out of the box. It is a good fit for AI pipelines, video processing and anything that takes more than a few seconds.

The fact that a task can just wait for a week and resume is the killer feature. No cron, no state machine, no queue...

they ship a helm chart now so self hosting is much more reasonable than it was.

Retries per step is what sold me. One flaky api call does not blow up the whole job.

The boring technical answer: Pricing is per run which gets hard to predict if your job count is spiky. Just something to watch.
