About Upstash
Upstash gives you Redis, a Kafka compatible queue and a vector database billed per request rather than per hour. It speaks HTTP as well as the native protocols, so it works from edge runtimes and serverless functions that cannot hold a persistent connection.

Per request billing for redis is the right model for serverless. I was paying for idle hours before. My inbox is less angry now.
